Feeling Blue? Try 5-HT1

Serotonin is a neurotransmitter produced by your brain which regulates moods, appetite and sleep patterns. For serotonin to be produced properly, a chemical-compound called 5-HT1 – a derivative of 5-HTP (hydroxy-tryptophan, also known as oxitriptan) is needed. Taking a supplement of 5-HTP has wonderful benefits for the body.

Benefits of 5-HT1 from Solal:

  • Helps elevate moods
  • Aids in weight loss
  • Can treat anxiety
  • Improves sleep patterns
  • Said to lower the risk of heart problems
  • Alleviates headaches
  • Increases energy levels

Where can you get 5-HT1?

5-HT1 is available from leading pharmacies via Solal. Adults would typically take 1 capsule daily (with or without meals). Dose can be increased to 1 capsule twice daily if needed.

Warning:

Some side-effects have been reported by excessive use of 5-HT1. Experts recommend that you only use 5-HT1 for a maximum of 12 weeks before discontinuing. If you feel any gastrointestinal issues, such as diahrrea, vomiting, abdominal pain or nausea, you should consult a physician. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or already on anti-depressants, do not use 5-HT1.

*Please note: this is NOT meant as medical advice. If you are suffering depression, or have any medical issues, you need to consult with your general practitioner or psychologist before you take any supplements.
